Whew it was hot!!!
July 12th, 2008 by Chris

It hit 100 degrees here in Denver yesterday. The temp on my thermostat in the house with the air running full blast was 80 degrees.

It didn’t really bother me!!

I went outside and played with my dog and he ran into the house before I was too hot. Heat would bother me fatigue wise. It would make everything on my body weigh more and it would put me to sleep.

I got done running him around then hopped into my car and drove to my hand surgeon. On Wednesday I have Carpel Tunnel Surgery. He says it will b about 4 to 6 week recovery time. It will be so good to sleep again! The pain is horrid! Back when the MS was active I couldn’t feel it…boy can I now!!!

I can’t wait to be forced to walk more without my cane. I use it in my left hand which will be operated on. I already started holding the cane only in my fingertips to learn how to walk again. I used to use it as a load bearing cane. Now I just won’t have it for two weeks. I hope it doesn’t turn into a two steps back thing. It also bugs me I won’t be able to lift weights for a couple of weeks…but my left side is more muscular because of the MS so maybe I can catch my right side up!! lol

So as you all will agree…no news is good news to report. Busting butt and not bothering to take the names.

    Hey Chris,
I was readmitted to the hospital for a neutropenic fever. they did pump me full of IV antibiotics for a few days then discharged me. they tested me for ever type of infection and they all came back negative. It was a fever caused by the growth factor they give you to get your immune system jump started. I got the news today to remove the hickman and go home. I will give you an update once i get settled.

Thanks for keeping us informed on how you are getting along. It is really important for all of us to know how you are doing and how this procedure is working.

Hello Chris, and congratulations on your voyage to health! Thank you so much for all the info you have published. I am *very* interested in the HiCy treatment for MS and am doing a lot of reading. One question: Is this treatment still in trials or has it completed trials? I have not been able to find that info.
