So here is the direction I / we are going…

I am looking into perhaps building my own server and changing the name of the site. This would give everyone who wants to run there own domain the chance to do it at a dirt cheap rate… I mean dirt cheap, and also I was thinking of making it into one great big meeting place for all. Putting up message boards and really giving everyone the opportunity to use this site for their needs as well.

I kid you not, I am not looking to make a million dollars, talk to me, and I am totally approachable and reasonable as a few people will tell you.

    Hello Chris,

    the problem with having your own site is the administration.

    Its okay of you host somewhere that does it for a living, to whom you hand over some cash (in exchange for your not having to do all the backups, the hardware fault handling, the negotiating with the infrastructure people, the rents, the telecom, the equipment, yadda, yadda, yadda,) and can focus instead on running the site.

    If you think you’re going to do all this yourself, I’d counsel against it. You’d have no time left for cartoons, never mind having MS.
