I suffer in silence for the most part. I don’t believe in showing how bad I am all the time and I expect nothing from anyone.
The other night I received a visit from a friend. Unfortunately I was in my pajama pants with a barking dog and a shower running. He completely understood and he gave me a “card” and he left.
I went inside and got cleaned up and decided to open the card before the wife got home. Inside was a letter from a good friend. If his parents knew what he did, they would have got teary eyed as I did.
He went out of his way to tell his friends, who asked him what he wanted for Christmas, that he wanted money to give to a friend. He included a list of roughly ten names on the back as well.
He gave us $500 dollars. He didn’t ask us, or tell us, he just did it.
His parents must be so proud. I can tell you even before the money, Chenell and I considered this person to be one of the sweetest people we know.
I wish I wasn’t so perplexed and unkempt when he showed up because I feel so bad now. He comes bearing gifts, and he got a quick seeya outta me!! I assure you it was understood on both sides.
I assure you any parties or getogethers he will always be there. Well, assuming he can make it. ![]()
This is a simple explanation of what the holidays are truly all about. I will post the letter soon.
**I suggest everyone gets the Google Desktop. It’s helped me tremendously. It comes with a to do list, scratch pad, and many other add-ons. If you sometimes forget things, this definitely has helped me.
Just when you think there is nothing of worth in this world, some one steps up and shows us all that we must keep trying.
I hope you had a merry merry and are off to a happy happy
May the coming year bring you peace, joy and health (and some recovery.)
